Best sporting achievement/personal best: Represented ‘Kent County' for 2 years. Won the ‘South East Men’s Division 1 Invicta’ league and got promoted with Holcombe Hockey Club. Winning the league with the University of Kent Men’s first team. 

2022/23 goals in sport: To win the University league and be promoted, whilst also winning varsity. Furthermore, win the league with Holcombe Hockey Club and be promoted again. 

Why did you apply to study at Kent (new students) or what is your favourite thing about Kent Uni (returning students)? My favourite thing about Kent University is, how well sport brings everyone together. Through Scholarships, Varsity to even Socials, everyone comes together and has a good time. You meet new people each year and I think overall the scholarship is my favourite thing about Kent University, due to the fact I get to meet new people and learn new ways of helping myself excel in my sport. 

What are you looking forward to experiencing most on the Scheme this year? Learning about diet, nutrition and strength and conditioning to further improve my sporting performances.

2022/23 goals in sport: As well as continuing to improve myself as a player, I hope to be able to play again for my country, and make Kent proud to have me as a player.

Why did you apply to study at Kent (new students) or what is your favourite thing about Kent Uni (returning students)? I chose Kent not only for its diversity and great academic reputation but also from the webinars, the student and staff were so encouraging and the campus and course were exactly what I had been looking for.

What are you looking forward to experiencing most on the Scheme this year? I am looking forward to challenge myself in a new environment. I’m excited to work with new coaches with their techniques as well as meet new friends and make memories.

2022/23 goals in sport: Continually be selected for the Great Britain team in Pro League matches and other tournaments over the next year.

Why did you apply to study at Kent (new students) or what is your favourite thing about Kent Uni (returning students)? The marketing course offered at the university was the main reason, alongside the support they could give me with 1 to 1 training in the gym.

What are you looking forward to experiencing most on the Scheme this year? Access to the gym and coaching support when needed.

Best sporting achievement/personal best: It’s between being the captain of my academy and gaining promotion in three consecutive seasons for my boyhood club’s 1st XI.

2022/23 goals in sport: Gaining better leadership skills and teamwork, whilst improving my overall game and effectiveness in matches, with overall improving my fitness and strength to be as optimal as possible.

Why did you apply to study at Kent (new students) or what is your favourite thing about Kent Uni (returning students)? Living in Kent all of my life I’ve been able to observe how good this university is, it’s been recommended by many friends and sportspeople and when I saw what courses they offered it was a no brainer.

What are you looking forward to experiencing most on the Scheme this year? I’m really looking forward to learning the skills required in order to become a practical sports therapist, whilst also gaining practical experience on work placements.

Why did you apply to study at Kent (new students) or what is your favourite thing about Kent Uni (returning students)? To live at home and continue playing hockey at Canterbury HC.

What are you looking forward to experiencing most on the Scheme this year? Meeting new peeps with the same interests.

Best sporting achievement/personal best: Becoming Holcombe Men’s youngest goal scorer in the premier division.

2022/23 goals in sport: To continue to train and learn with my home club and the top athletes and to push myself as far as I can go.

Why did you apply to study at Kent (new students) or what is your favourite thing about Kent Uni (returning students)? Returning to Kent Uni is exciting in many ways, sport wise a first full season with the new Hockey pitch is very exciting.

What are you looking forward to experiencing most on the Scheme this year? The S&C sessions, the progress I made last year was amazing to see cand I cant wait to get back into it.

2022/23 goals in sport: Win the league again and gain promotion to the league above and win varsity as a team.

Why did you apply to study at Kent (new students) or what is your favourite thing about Kent Uni (returning students)? My favourite thing about Kent University is the facilities on hand and the way you will always feel welcomed throughout any sporting achievements.

What are you looking forward to experiencing most on the Scheme this year? This year I am looking forward to furthering my progress in the gym with the scheme and also my ability within the sport.

2022/23 goals in sport: Build up on last years success and win the league again. Perform well in playoffs and move up with the team.

Why did you apply to study at Kent (new students) or what is your favourite thing about Kent Uni (returning students)? The people! Everybody has been very welcoming and lovely the past year. The stuff, the teachers, my classmates and teammates…

What are you looking forward to experiencing most on the Scheme this year? The professional and enjoyable atmosphere around the S&C sessions, physio sessions and workshops.
