Scholarships for international students

The University has a long tradition of welcoming students from all around the world and we are pleased to have funding opportunities available for students from a wide range of countries.

Kent International Scholarships

Undergraduate

International applicants who receive and accept an offer for a Kent undergraduate programme starting in September 2026 or January 2027, will be eligible for the Kent International Scholarship (UG) of up to £5,000. 


You do not need to make an application, the award will be added to your application once you have accepted your offer, although please allow a few weeks to receive your scholarship offer.

Please note that applicants studying under UKIC or progressing to their undergraduate degree from UKIC will not be eligible for this award. 


Postgraduate Taught

If you receive and accept an offer for a Kent Taught Masters starting in September 2026 or January 2027, you could qualify for our Kent International Scholarships, worth up to £5,000, guaranteed for all applicants who meet the eligibility criteria.


To be eligible, you need to be domiciled in Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey or Vietnam. Please visit our scholarship pages for full eligibility criteria.

Kent International Scholarships: 

British Council GREAT Scholarships September 2026

We're pleased to be part of the British Council GREAT scholarship scheme, offering £10,000 scholarships, as well as the chance to attend British Council networking events with other GREAT scholars. There's no essay requirement, but you will need to submit a brief application by the deadline of 24 April 2026, 5pm BST.

This year our September offering is for postgraduate taught students on a one year course who are from Ghana, India, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Thailand and Turkey. 

The Bestway Foundation Scholarship for Pakistani students

Together with The Bestway Foundation we are delighted to offer 5 scholarships of £26,000 to students from and domiciled in Pakistan, applying to our Postgraduate one year Masters’ programmes in Science, Technology and Mathematics.
