Conferences and Events at the University of Kent
Our campus remains open
We recognise that the recent meningitis outbreak in Canterbury may be a cause for concern amongst visitors to our campus.
This has been a regional public health matter with the response led by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). Following their guidance, our campus remains open.
We have been reassured by the authorities that the peak of the outbreak has now passed and whilst we are continuing to encourage our community to remain vigilant of symptoms, we are welcoming visitors to events and activities on campus as normal.

We can offer delivered catering for your events and we also have a wide range of catering outlets on site.
Accommodation
We have over 4,500 rooms on our Canterbury campus available on a B&B or self-catered accommodation.
Christmas Parties
We host both shared and private party nights throughout December.
Venue Hire
With over 150 conference and event spaces to choose from, we are able to accommodate a wide range of events.

Our experienced team have been helping customers host events on campus for over 30 years.
Sheena Butterworth
Head of Conferencing and Business Development: With a wealth of experience from over 20 years of service at the University. Sheena manages the office and handles large-scale conferences and events.
Caroline Hames
Events Officer: Heading our Events Management Service, Caroline will guide you through your event, from proposals to budgets and delegate registration services.
Jan North
Events Officer: For your conference needs all year round, Jan is available to make your event a success from start to finish.
Rachel Walmesley
Events Coordinator: UK, European and international groups are Rachel's speciality, with 15 years in the role, your groups are in safe hands.
Katherine Gisby
Events Coordinator: Liaising between our clients and our service providers, Katherine will ensure the smooth operation of your event.
Lara Mercer
Events Coordinator: Overseeing our day events in the Darwin Conference Suite and residential conferences during the summer, Lara is there to help your event run smoothly.
Sandra Heyworth
Sales Manager: Sandra manages all new enquiries, ensuring we can accommodate their event needs and organises showrounds for potential clients alongside internal events.
Emma Swan
Events Administrator: Looking after our B&B bookings, internal catering enquiries and assisting the team with general event admin. Emma is onboard to help with any queries.
