Kent Advantage

The Kent Advantage

At Kent, you are more than just your grades.

We know how important your results are - not only as part of your university journey, but after all the hard work you’ve put in.  We also know what a stressful and worrying time it can be.

That’s why, with The Kent Advantage, if you accept Kent, we'll still accept you,  even if you miss your offer by up to 16 UCAS points.* So, while your results matter, they don’t have to define your journey. Focus on achieving your best, and we’ll look forward to welcoming you.

*exceptions apply. The Kent Advantage is not available to applicants who have already received a contextual offer, or an alternative reduced offer (if equivalent to 16 UCAS points).

How it works

1. Accept your offer from Kent on UCAS

2. In early 2027, you'll be invited to take part in an online activity linked to your chosen subject. This will support you in getting prepared for university and give you a deeper understanding of studying your subject.

3. Complete it to get University-ready and unlock The Kent Advantage: guaranteed acceptance if you miss your offer by up to 16 UCAS points.

Kent and Medway are amazing places to explore, mixing history, culture and proper adventure.

Canterbury is a 25‑minute walk from campus and packed with medieval streets, big‑name shops, cinemas, galleries, clubs and loads of places to eat. It’s creative, diverse and super student‑friendly, with beaches and woodland close by. Medway has a compact, welcoming feel, with cool cafés, bars, great facilities and the Deep End student space.

With fast links to London and even mainland Europe, plus iconic spots like Dreamland Margate and award‑winning green spaces such as Westgate Gardens, you’ll never run out of places to go.
