Kent Sport phased reopening

We’re excited to share with you the proposed phased reopening of Kent Sport facilities over the next few months.

What is now open:

  • The Sports Centre is open for gym sessions (cardio and resistance/weights only) and face-to-face physiotherapy, massage services and exercise referrals
  • The Pavilion is open for outdoor sports under current guidelines (individual bookings and organised training). We're also running a timetable of outdoor fitness classes. Outdoor grass tennis courts are also available to book online

Opening soon:

  • Monday 17 May* – Our indoor tennis courts at The Pavilion, indoor sports at the Sports Centre and indoor classes will return. *Date is subject to change and reliant on Government guidance.

Please note that all sessions will need to be booked in advance. All Kent Sport facilities follow strict social distancing and a mask or face covering is required on arrival, before and after your activity. A mask or face covering is not required during your activity.

Further updates on the reopening of our services will be shared through @UniKentSports on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter as soon as we are able to.

Make sure you check out our Stay Well @ Home webpage for at-home workouts, virtual classes and wellbeing advice.

See our Coronavirus webpage for specific information and FAQs.

See more about how to book and Coronavirus guidance on our blog.

*Netball courts will be available at a later date. Details to be announced.

Kent Sport facilities

Our facilities are open to all students, staff, alumni and the public. We operate throughout the year, including term and vacation periods, with the exception of the Christmas holiday closure.

Astro pitch currently closed

Following a recent site survey, we have been advised that the astro pitch will need a full replacement. Therefore, we have had to close the facility until further notice, which may affect the 2021 season. We apologise for the inconvenience, and we thank you for your continued support.

Our 3GX, 3G and grass pitches will all still be available for use.
