My favourite thing about living on campus - being so close to everything and living near friends in Park Wood.

What do I need to do?

It's really quick and easy to apply for returning student accommodation. All you need to do is head to our application pages and apply when they open on 19 January!

On the Canterbury campus, the first 1,000 eligible applications received are guaranteed a room offer for next year. You can apply for any accommodation option except Turing College which is reserved for new first year students.

Demand for en-suite rooms is high and as we allocate accommodation on a 'first come first served' basis it's best to apply as early as possible!

Returning KMMS students can also apply for designated Park Wood accommodation via a separate link.

For Medway students returners accommodation is available at Pier Quays (including phase two rooms) with exclusive sport membership included and a guaranteed room offer when booking through us.

Pssst... keep an eye on your emails in December as we email all residential students with the opportunity to register their interest early for returning student accommodation so that you can receive 24 hour early access to our application pages.

Forgotten your MyAccommodation login?

Don't worry, you can reset your password using the on-screen instructions. You'll just need your Applicant ID Number which if you can't remember can always be found out at reception or via KentVision.

When will I find out where I will be living?

We will contact you by email to let you know if you are one of our first 1,000 applicants and have successfully secured one of our guaranteed offers from Monday 31 January 2022. If you don't receive this email don't worry, it does not mean you will not receive a room offer in due course, just that we can't guarantee it.

We'll then be sending an email confirming your exact room/college allocation to all applicants from early April 2022 onwards depending on your application date. So check your email regularly.

As soon as you've received your allocation you can log in to your application and accept your accommodation offer for 2022!

You'll need to accept or decline your offer before the expiry date, but you can cancel you accommodation application at any time prior to accepting your offer. However, once you have accepted your offer it becomes legally binding.

Your room is yours!

That's it! Celebrate with a cup of tea because your accommodation is sorted for next year.

Also keep your eyes open on your Kent inbox and our Twitter or Facebook accounts (@AccommUniKent) for all the latest updates, help and advice.

Returning to live in Pier Quays at Medway

There are a lot of great benefits to living with us again in your second and third year as you'll be guaranteed to receive a room offer and can live with your friends but there's more.

Same price added value.

It's true, you could apply through Unite Students as a returning student, however you'd be missing out - as we charge exactly the same price but also include a free sports membership as well as annual special offers meaning you get better value for your money with us for the same facilities.

Exclusive extra incentives when booking directly through the University of Kent:

  • Choice between Medway Park Premier membership or Kent Sport Premium Plus membership at no extra charge (worth up to £479)
  • Returning students receive priority placement for phase 2 en-suite rooms (subject to availability)
  • For those who register their interest and apply via Kent early, you should keep an eye on your inbox for special early bird offers too.

You can apply directly through the University of Kent from 19 January 2022 for the 2022/23 academic year. For 2023/24 you'll be able to register your interest from late November.

Check out our Medway FAQ guide for more information. If you are a current resident (who booked through the University of Kent) then check your email for your special returners offer from the Accommodation Office.

When accepting your accommodation offer you will need to make a £250 advanced rent payment. This will then be deducted from your first accommodation payment at the start of term and is non-refundable if you cancel your agreement after seven days of accepting.

If you are an MPharm student who wishes to return to live in Pier Quays you are also welcome to apply via your dedicated application link.
