The ResLife Team are here to help you settle in to your new home on campus, find your feet and make friends. All our ResLife Ambassadors (RLA’s) are returning undergraduate, postgraduate or PhD students familiar with Kent who know what you’re going through. This means if you need a friendly ear to talk to you'll always find one with us.
But ResLife isn’t just for Arrivals, with a busy year-long events calendar planned, you’ll have lots of opportunities to get involved, meet other residents, hang out with your friends and most importantly have fun throughout the year.

Sometimes you just need a friendly ear to act as a soundboard and talk through a problem or how you're currently feeling.
Most of the time you'll want to reach out to the Student Welfare and Community Life Team. They regularly help students with a range of problems from struggling to settle in to flatmate disputes.
However, we also know that sometimes it can be tough to ask for help or know who to ask. This is why we're also here to listen when you need us, so feel free to reach out if you'd like an informal chat with one of our RLAs or the ResLife Team.
We work closely with Student Support and Wellbeing and Student Welfare and Community Life Teams so we can direct you to the right team for more support if you need it, be here for you whilst you wait to meet them or see what we can do to help.
Every month residents from each residential college take part in one of our exciting cup events, playing off against other colleges to claim victory in a range of activities.
From Benchball to quizzes, mini-Olympics to Nerf, we’ve got lots planned. Best of all, it's completely free to participate and you don’t need to bring anything!
Eliot College ResLife Ambassadors
Megan and Courtney cover Eliot College and Becket Court and are undergraduate students in their second and final years. Megan is a keen baker so keep an eye out for some cooking-themed events.
Rutherford and Tyler Court Ambassadors
Aameen is a postgraduate student and looks forward to hosting interactive and holiday-themed events. Caroline is rejoining the ResLife Team for a second year as an RLA whilst completing her PhD.
Darwin College ResLife Ambassadors
Ben is in the third year of his undergraduate course and Rebecca is a postgraduate student. Both look forward to hosting events that bring people together and support mindfullness.
Park Wood ResLife Ambassadors
Sarah is another returning RLA and is in the first year of her PhD. Lois is a postgraduate student and you may also spot her out and about with her cello as part of the UKC orchestra!
Woolf College ResLife Ambassadors
Kimberley is in the third year of her undergraduate course and Brianah is working towards her PhD. Both are keen to create exciting events for residents to enjoy.

Lissy has just started her Masters having completed her undergraduate course at Kent last year.
Turing College ResLife Ambassadors
Linda is a Master's student and enjoys reading, listening to music and soccer. Jhanay is finishing up her undergraduate studies and looks forward to helping support an inclusive environment for all students on campus.
ResLife Manager and ResLife Assistant
Heading up the team these two are always working hard behind the scenes to find new activities and coordinate support for residents. When he's not managing the ResLife Team, Ewen is often found spoiling Tara and Beatrice with treats.
