Kent and Medway Medical School

As a Kent and Medway Medical School (KMMS) student you have the choice to live at the University of Kent campus or at Canterbury Christ Church University campus. Accommodation at both campuses is offered on a 44-week basis and you will be living with other KMMS students.

Applying

To guarantee accommodation in your first year, you must apply for accommodation between mid January 2024 and 30 June 2024. Offers of accommodation are sent once all course conditions have been met and unconditional places have been confirmed.

Both Universities prioritise applications based on application date.

Part-catered options

Our KMMS accommodation is self-catered. A meal plan can be purchased that gives you £14 a day (2024/25) to spend in catering outlets across the Canterbury campus.

Return for your second year and beyond!

We set aside designated accommodation in the above Park Wood options just for KMMS students who wish to return to live on campus and take advantage of our fantastic facilities for another year.

Some of the benefits of returning to live on campus include:

  • No worry of finding a new place to live
  • You can live with friends who are also KMMS students
  • There's no deposit meaning you pay nothing until September
  • Accommodation contracts match your term dates (meaning you don’t need to pay for any months over the summer when you're not here)
  • You're still entitled to Kent Sport's Premium Plus membership for free.

You can also apply to live at Christ Church University KMMS accommodation as well. Returning student accommodation applications open in mid-January and all KMMS student's currently living on campus will receive an email from the Accommodation Team before applications open with the information you will need to apply.
