Student Data System

Information about accessing the different IT services at Kent is available via the Information Services website.

You can access your student data via the Student Data System. This is also known as SDS. Your full record can only be viewed via SDS.

Using the Student Data System

The first page that you will see when you log on to SDS shows your details. If you wish to amend your information then click on ‘My Record (details of my record)’ towards the bottom of the page.

Information on how to navigate the Student Data System via the menu on the left is provided below.

Details & Study

This menu provides links to the various areas of the Student Data System.

‘My Attendance'

View your attendance details. Please note that this is not instantly updated and there can be a delay particularly at the start of term.

‘My Deadlines'

View your coursework deadlines.

‘My Details’

Displays the page containing your details which you see when you log on.

To change your term-time address click on My Record. Information on changing your home address can be found here

‘My Exams’

View your examination timetable. The exam timetable is normally released in March for the main exam period and July for the August exam period.

‘My Marks’

View your marks. Module marking by academic staff is on-going throughout the academic year. This database is therefore being constantly updated. Marks are subject to change through moderation by internal markers and external examiners.
All marks are provisional until confirmed by a final board of examiners.

‘My Modules’

View your modules. Please read the Check Your Modules page for more details.

Please note that it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure that you are registered for the required number of credits and the correct modules for your programme of study.

‘My Progress’

Your end of stage results will show here after the exam results are released. Any referral letter relating to your results will also be available here.

‘My Tutor Notes’

View your tutor notes.

‘My Timetable’

View your personal timetable (although at certain times of year you will only be able to access this through the Student Guide).

You must be registered for your modules before you can see your timetable. See the Timetabling Office’s webpage for more details on when you can see your timetable.

If you have a timetable clash you must contact our office or your School to resolve this. Information on how to change your seminar group can be found on our website.

‘My Transcript’

You are able to download and print pdf copies of your transcript here.

Your self service transcript will include marks up to the end of the previous academic year.

Your marks for the current academic year will only appear once the examination results are released in June/July.

You can still view your marks for the current academic year by selecting ‘Details & Study’ and ‘My Marks’.

You will receive your final transcript when you graduate.

The Central Student Administration Office can only send transcripts to other Universities or third parties (eg. Agencies, Embassy etc).

We cannot send copies directly to students or to members of their family.

If you require us to send copies of your transcript to another University or applicable third party then please complete our online request form
