Fine Art

Artistic production and exchange is supported by exceptional workshop facilities for all aspects of 3D practice, well-equipped seminar and lecture spaces, inspiring studio spaces, and industry-standard photographic equipment and digital media suites.

These extensive resources are the result of recent a multi-million pound investment in the campus.

The School has a new workshop which is open to all music and fine art students on a daily basis, assisted by a team of highly experienced technicians, whose specialisms include printmaking, metal work and sculpture. The provision is fully equipped to allow working with a variety of materials, and also houses our printmaking studio. Other facilities include a laser cutter, kiln room, plaster working and casting room, extraction room for spraying and glass fibre work, a metal work room with MIG welder and plasma cutter room, as well as the main wood working machine shop and sculpture courtyard.

The workshop functions as an extension of the studios, offering a flexible space that is used for a range of practical making and teaching activities. Large glazed access doors ensure natural light to a spacious interior that enables the creation of ambitious work.
