Internet in your campus bedroom

Internet connection speeds

For the fastest and most reliable connection, use the wired internet in your room.

If you don't have your own cable, ask for one at your accommodation reception or the IT & Library Support Desk. If your laptop hasn't got a network socket you'll need to buy an Ethernet adapter.

Campus Wi-Fi should be faster than home broadband. If you don't think it is read these Wi-Fi speed tips.

Don't use a wireless router as it can affect the Wi-Fi speed for all your neighbours.
