Numerous events and activities, including Drop In Sessions provide proactive support right from the start of courses, over and above those available within the curriculum.

Examples include: How to get a first, Study Hacks, Get your nine grand’s worth, Stop taking so many notes, Bullet journal your degree, This one weird trick, How to write a kick-ass essay, Reference like a pro, Effective Reading, Planning your writing, Making an argument & Being Critical, Referencing: Where little mistakes cause big problems , Introductions and conclusions, Building Academic Confidence, Effective Proof Reading, How to get a FIRST, BYOF Bring your own feedback, and Exam skills.

Summer schools to augment academic skills and help induct students to university life.

There has been considerable work done in collaboration with SLAS (Student Learning Advisory Service) to popularise and support effective Academic Peer Mentoring and Numeracy Mentoring schemes.
