Canterbury has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants for you to discover. Many will offer a student discount too! As a Kent student you can also visit the Canterbury Cathedral for free by showing your KentOne card.

We're lucky enough to have a cinema and theatre at our Canterbury campus. The Gulbenkian often have discounts available for students too.

Kent Union is your students' union at Canterbury. Kent Union offers plenty of ways to get involved and meet new people. You can try out sports, societies, volunteering and a wide variety of events.

Cinema offering student discount 

The Odeon Cinema is just across the road from the Medway campus and with your student card you can get discount tickets. View showings.

Eating out

As well as places to eat on campus, you can find the campus is Dockside shopping centre located very closed to campus with a wide range of restaurants and cafes. 

Travel

We work with Arriva bus company to offer you a highly discounted bus ticket. You can also catch the high-speed train to London in under an hour!

The Hub sports, societies and events

Find your students' union at The Hub in Medway. They offer a range of sports, societies, volunteering and events to help you meet people and get involved.

Join your residents association

Residents associations can answer any questions you have about the local area. By joining your neighbourhood's residents association you will find out about local events, services and the neighbourhood watch scheme.
