Parking permit application help

 

 

Student

Academic year, 3 months or monthly

  1. Register for a permit online and select “Permit application. Apply for a permit”
  2. Select permit category “Student” and relevant permit type
  3. Complete application
  4. Receive acknowledgement email (your virtual permit is not active at this stage)
  5. Receive an offer email requesting payment, or a decline email from the Transport Team once your application has been reviewed
  6. If successful, make payment
  7. Receive email confirming your virtual permit has been issued and is now active for the zones stated in the email

 

Daily vouchers

Request permission to apply for daily vouchers

  1. Register for a permit online and select “Permit application. Apply for a permit”
  2. Select permit category “Student” and relevant permit type “Student Daily Voucher”
  3. Complete application- this is requesting for permission to apply for daily vouchers, rather than the vouchers themselves
  4. Receive acknowledgement email (your virtual permit is not active at this stage)
  5. Receive issue or decline email from the Transport Team

Apply for daily vouchers (once permission has been approved)

  1. Log in to parking system and select “Buy Daily Vouchers”
  2. Check details of daily permit and select “Book”
  3. Pay for daily voucher

Government Blue Badge Holders

  1. Register for a permit online and select “Permit application. Apply for a permit”
  2. Select permit category “Student” and permit type “Gov Blue Badge Holder Student”
  3. Complete application
  4. Receive acknowledgement email (your virtual permit is not active at this stage)
  5. Attach a copy of your Blue Badge if you have not already
  6. Receive an offer or decline email from the Transport Team once your application has been reviewed
  7. If successful you will receive email confirming your virtual permit has been issued and is now active for the zones stated in the email

Health Access (medical reason)

1. Register for a permit online and select “Permit application. Apply for a permit”
2. Select permit category “Health Access” permit type “Health Access Permit Student”
3. Select parking zone and issue period that you would like (please note that this may change in accordance with the decision recommended to the Transport Team)
4. Complete the rest of the application
5. Receive acknowledgement email (your virtual permit is not active at this stage)
6a.(Canterbury) Download Health Access form and take to the University Medical Centre, who will advise the Transport Team
6b.(Medway) Download Health Access form and take to your GP to complete. Then take the completed form to the Student Support and Wellbeing manager who will advise the Transport Team
7. Receive an offer email requesting payment, or a decline email from the Transport Team once your application has been reviewed
8. If successful make payment
9. Receive email confirming your virtual permit has been issued and is now active for the zones stated in the email 

 

Exceptional Circumstances

  1. Register for a permit online and select “Permit application. Apply for a permit”
  2. Select permit category “Exception circumstances”  and relevant permit type
  3. Select parking zone and issue period that you would like (please note that the Parking Panel will decide these)
  4. Complete the rest of the application
  5. Receive acknowledgement email (your virtual permit is not active at this stage)
  6. Complete Exceptional Circumstances form and attach along with any supporting documents if you have not already
  7. Receive an offer or decline email from the Transport Team (having been advised by the Parking Panel)
  8. If successful, accept offer and make payment
  9. Receive email confirming your virtual permit has been issued and is now active for the zones stated in the email

 

Staff

12 months, 3 months

  1. Register for a permit online and select “Permit application. Apply for a permit”
  2. Select permit category “Staff” and permit type “Staff 12 month permit” or “Staff 3 month permit”
  3. Complete application
  4. Receive acknowledgement email (your virtual permit is not active at this stage)
  5. Receive an issue or decline email from the Transport Team once your application has been reviewed
  6. If successful you will receive email confirming your virtual permit has been issued and is now active for the zones stated in the email
  7. Salary deductions will be set up to pay for the parking permit

Monthly

  1. Register for a permit online and select “Permit application. Apply for a permit”
  2. Select permit category “Staff” and permit type “Staff monthly”
  3. Complete application
  4. Receive acknowledgement email (your virtual permit is not active at this stage)
  5. Receive an offer or decline email from the Transport Team once your application has been reviewed
  6. If successful, accept offer and make payment
  7. Receive email confirming your virtual permit has been issued and is now active for the zones stated in the email

  6. Make an appointment to see Occupational Health, who will recommend your parking requirements to the Transport Team
  7. Receive an offer email requesting payment (where appropriate), or a decline email from the Transport Team
  8. If successful make payment (where appropriate)
  9. Receive email confirming your virtual permit has been issued and is now active for the zones stated in the email 

 

 

Emeritus and Honorary

12 months or 3 months

  1. Register for a permit online and select “Permit application. Apply for a permit”
  2. Select permit category “Staff” and permit type “Emeritus&Hon’s 12 month” or “Emeritus&Hon’s 3 month”
  3. Complete application
  4. Receive acknowledgement email (your virtual permit is not active at this stage)
  5. Receive an offer email requesting payment, or a decline email from the Transport Team once your application has been reviewed
  6. If successful, make payment
  7. Receive email confirming your virtual permit has been issued and is now active for the zones stated in the email

 

Monthly

  1. Register for a permit online and select “Permit application. Apply for a permit”
  2. Select permit category “Staff” and permit type “Staff monthly” (there is not a separate Emeritus and Honorary permit type for monthly permits)
  3. Complete application
  4. Receive acknowledgement email (your virtual permit is not active at this stage)
  5. Receive an offer or decline email from the Transport Team once your application has been reviewed
  6. If successful, accept offer and make payment
  7. Receive email confirming your virtual permit has been issued and is now active for the zones stated in the email

  6. Make an appointment to see Occupational Health, who will recommend your parking requirements to the Transport Team
