About

Julien Forder is Director of the Personal Social Services Research Unit (PSSRU) at the University of Kent, one of the School’s research centres. 
Before joining Kent, Professor Forder was an Associate Professorial Research Fellow at the London School of Economics.
Professor Forder has been publishing in the area of care services and health care for over 20 years. His studies have also contributed to policy development in care and health. He was seconded to the King's Fund as project lead for the Wanless social care review and also to the Strategy Unit in the Department of Health, providing advice to Ministers on social care and related areas of health policy. 

Research interests

Professor Forder's research has mainly been in the field of care services and health care, generally taking an economic perspective
