Where to study

Studying in the Library and on campus

There are hundreds of study spaces to choose from in the Templeman Library and study hubs on campus. They have Wi-Fi, PCs and printers, and many have power sockets for your device.

Library study spaces

The Library has a range of spaces including silent study zones, group study rooms and a Library Café:

PCs in the Library

  • student PCs and Quick Access PCs (use for up to 20 minutes)
  • Library resource terminals: for checking LibrarySearch
  • PCs with assistive technology

Laptop loans

You can borrow a laptop to use in the Library, so you don't have to bring your own.

Food and drink

Cold food, and hot and cold drinks in a secure container are allowed the Library.

Being disturbed?

Tell a member of staff or email library-report@kent.ac.uk and we'll help.

Don't leave your possessions unattended. You risk losing them, and they may stop other people from using a study space. We may remove them.

Library rules

When you use the Library, you must follow the code of conduct and regulations.

Study hubs

These Canterbury campus study spaces offer you a range of seating and facilities; some are open 24/7. Find a study hub (includes live PC availability).
