    Correspondence with Beatrice Webb (April 1938), The Rev Hugh Martin (April 1942), Paul Robeson regarding some problems with passport (1954), The Rev Stanley Evans (March 1940), Harry Pollitt January 1945), Correspondence with Ivan Maisky , Soviet Ambassador to Britain, largely about his assistance in arranging Johnson's visits to Russia but also about Russia's position in the world following the Anglo-Soviet Alliance of 1941. Assorted dates between 1934 and 1941.

December 1957 There are letters and documents relating to the Hungarian Revolution and the resulting Soviet invasion in 1956, 90th birthday congratulations from the Hungarian and Czech embassies in June 1964 and mention Johnson's award of the Frederic Joliot-Curie Peace Meda in May 1964
