    item 1 -- 2 sheets of notes by Christopher Calthrop about Boucicault's tour of Australia and New Zealand;

    item 2 -- a photocopy of an article by Dion Boucicault, published in the Town and Country Journal, Sydney, December 26th, 1885, titled "A Star Actor in the Colonies / His Earnings and Expenses / Mr. Boucicault's Unvarnished Statement";

    item 3 -- 1 sheet of notes by Christopher Calthrop, headed "Boucicault Season in Australia 11 July - 8 October 1885" and giving dates, theatres, and titles of the plays performed;

    item 4 -- a photograph of a section of a page from the Sydney Morning Herold, Sept. 10th, 1885, which includes 2 Boucicault related paragraphs; the first reports on a meeting held by a number of men anxious to honour Dion Boucicault with a "complimentary picnic"; the second reports on the wedding of Boucicault and Louise Thorndyke;

    item 5 -- a photograph of a section of a shipping news page from an unknown newspaper (possibly the Sydney? Evening News) reporting members of the Boucicault family leaving for Brisbane on the ship Cintra; the date is probably October 8th, 1885; this is annotated "Arthur B[oucicault] and family, sent in error";

    item 6 -- 6 letters from the Deputy Librarian of the Mitchell Library, Sydney, in response to enquiries by Christopher Calthrop; they contain information about Dion Boucicault's tour of Australia and his travelling on to New Zealand, cite newspaper articles, and provide references; apparently a photocopy of a letter from Boucicault to Robert Sillard was provided; there is also a photograph of catalogue cards from the Mitchell Library listing Boucicault related books;

    item 7 -- 1 sheet of notes by Christopher Calthrop listing articles in The Era about the Boucicault's sojourn in Australia; there is also a note about an announcement by Agnes Boucicault in the Evening Post, Wellington, New Zealand, that she and Dion were still married;

    item 8 -- 2 letters from a correspondent at the Wellington Evening Post providing information about the Boucicault's tour of New Zealand in 1885;

    item 9 -- 1 letter from the Dunedin City Librarian, informing Calthrop that she has found newspaper articles and adverts referring to Boucicault's tour of New Zealand in the Otago Daily Times and in the Otago Witness and copied them for him; this is accompanied by a receipt for the copies;

    item 10 -- 4 pages of photocopies from unidentified newspapers, namely 2 adverts for Dion Boucicault's appearance at the Theatre Royal, Wellington, 1 review of a performance of THE SHAUGHRAUN at the same theatre, and an article welcoming Boucicault to New Zealand;

    item 11 -- a bibliographical reference to "notes on Australian theatre" in The Theatre, November 1, 1885, pp. 275-;

    item 12 -- 1 letter from the Librarian of Oxley Memorial Library, Brisbane, in relation to enquiries about the activities of the Boucicault family in Australia; he has searched the Brisbane Courier newspaper, but has not found the name Boucicault on the passenger list od the Cintra and no reference to the Boucicault-Thorndyke wedding.
