Rewards - Internships

Internships are temporary work placements with a company. You will be paid National Minimum Wage (or above) and they last between 4 and 12 weeks. You will be expected to undertake the work and responsibility of a 'normal' employee.

  • A varied lab internship, where you will gain practical experience in Antigen Purification, testing, buffer preparation and re-dispensing.
  • An International Sales and Translation internship, focusing on exploring international markets and undertaking translation.

Apogee Corporation

  • One paid internship for the role of a Marketing Intern. This role will be involved in creating social media content in relation to marketing projects and activities, assisting with events and supporting internal communications.
  • One paid internship for the role of a Finance Intern. This role will be involved in different aspects of financial management, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury & exposure to management and financial accounting teams.

Berger Tools Ltd

Borderpoint Films

  • The chance to undertake research in both science and history related subjects. The research will be utilised to develop new factual programmes aimed at national TV broadcasters.

Digital Tourism Think Tank

FX Digital

  • The chance for you to join the Quality Engineering Team to work on their automated testing framework. You will be using automated testing tools, developing manual and automated test cases, and assisting with the creation and maintenance of test documentation. You will be collaborating with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders.

  • A data management internship – You will be working alongside an experienced developer to build data models on their internal data management platform. This is used to help charities and membership organisations manage and maximise their income while providing analytical reports with actionable insights.  

Kent Community Energy

Medway Council

  • One internship focusing on domestic abuse, specifically helping the council achieve Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance accreditation. This would entail reviewing the agreed project plan.
  • One internship focussing on supporting Medway in making sure that council tenants voices are heard and that supporting the delivery of tenant satisfaction measures.
  • An internship to work on a research project with the Health Determinants Research Collaboration at Medway Council. You will be supporting research priorities, undertaking  literary reviews and  supporting the development of research capacity in the council.    
  • This is an opportunity to develop a hex map for Lower Super Output Areas in Medway. This project will involve the development of a Medway hex-map at Lower Super Output Area (LSOA) level using the program R. Hex maps present geographic area boundaries as hexagonal shapes that represent each LSOA (a group of around 1000 - 1,500 households). This looks to remove the bias of traditional maps. You will work in the Medway Public Health Intelligence Team under supervision from a Lead Analyst to create the methodology as well as present the map with population health data.

  • One paid internship for the role of a Behavioural Executive. In this role, you will be required to utilise psychology and human behaviour to influence digital strategy.

The internship will be hands on and you can develop your portfolio of work around your interest, which could include social media, copywriting, digital marketing, graphic design and/or videography.

  • An Marketing Internship contributing to content creation, social media and to promote the business. You will be creating content using Canva, Photoshop, and other digital tools. You will be using TikTok and other social media platforms to create a strategy to promote the business.

THEMIS Clinical Defence

  • An opportunity to work within an exciting new insurance company, currently disrupting the medical malpractice market and evolving the way that doctors and hospitals are insured in the UK. You will intern as a Medical-Malpractice Policy Specialist, where you will gain intensive training, and tasked with support new and existing clients.

TMLEP: The Medical-Legal Experts Practice

  • An internship as a Medico-Legal Administrator, which will provide you with experience in the field of clinical negligence (specific role will be determined by the interview). You will assist in the provision of medico-legal reports to some of the largest clinical negligence law firms in the UK.
