Welcome to Paris

Welcome to Paris

Congratulations!

Welcome to the Paris School of Arts and Culture. Our location in the cultural capital of Europe enables you to combine academic work with frequent study trips to the many resources that are unique to Paris, whether galleries, monuments or archives.

Situated in the heart of Montparnasse, a part of Paris long associated with such figures as Picasso, Hemingway, Modigliani and Beckett, our home at Reid Hall has traditionally welcomed leading intellectual figures. Simone de Beauvoir, Jacques Derrida and Roland Barthes have all given talks here.

Ours is genuinely an international School with students coming from many different countries. We make a special effort to help you feel at home and these pages give you the basics in terms of preparing, arriving and settling in as a student and as a resident of Paris.

We can't wait to meet you!

Arrival and Welcome Week

We recommend that students arrive in Paris a week or so in advance to attend Welcome Week. An early arrival allows you to begin locating housing and taking care of other personal administrative matters before you need to focus on your studies. More practical information on living in Paris, from navigating the city to health and wellbeing, will be provided during Welcome Week.

Get involved and attend as much of Welcome Week as possible to help you get acquainted with PSAC, our programmes and administration. This way, you can begin your studies well informed and aware of the school's expectations of you and the resources available to you. It's also a great chance to get to know your fellow students.

In addition to the official Welcome Week programme, we encourage you to meet up with your fellow students to explore the town, sample the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Paris and get to know one another.

Life in Paris

Paris is of course amongst the world's best cities.

But, it is more specifically amongst the worlds best cities for students. Discover a bit more about life in Pairs to build the excitement before you arrive!
