About

Becky is Chief Executive of the Fragile X Society and recently graduated with a PhD from the University of Kent. Her PhD focused on the environmental and physiological variables linked to challenging behaviour.

Becky will contribute to the supervision of postgraduate dissertations and collaborate with Prof Peter McGill regarding the dissemination of previous research and the identification of participants for future research. As a family led organisation, the Fragile X Society is made up of members who all have a connection to someone with Fragile X syndrome and have been a major source of research participants as well as providing a means of disseminating the research findings in a way that has promoted greater impact.

Becky has already co-supervised a Master's dissertation on the situations of adults with Fragile X syndrome and Tizard have identified a number of related topics to make available to students over the forthcoming years.

She has published several papers following on from her research in collaboration with her supervisors at that time; Prof Peter McGill and Dr Alison Bratt, Medway School of Pharmacy.
