Dave's ceaseless creativity, curiosity and dedication to his craft have allowed him to become an extraordinarily versatile musician and to enjoy a career in music spanning a broad range of genres, platforms and styles including Modern Jazz, Swing, Classical, Chamber, Folk, Contemporary, Experimental and World music. He has performed globally in the U.K, Russia, Greece, Sweden, Finland, Norway, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Belgium and Switzerland. He has played with some of Britains foremost jazz Artists including Mike Garrick, John Dankworth, Cleo Lane, Alan Barnes, Andy Panayi, Guy Barker among others and frequently plays along side some of Britains younger generation including Quentin Collins, Nick Ramm, Zach Gvirtzman, Fred Thomas, Ben Davis and Seb Rochford.

Dave has been involved in numerous collaborative projects including F-ire collective ensembles The Magic Lantern and the Beguilers. His recent forays into earlier Jazz styles such as Manouche/Gypsy Swing and Classic Swing/Trad Jazz have helped inform his playing of modern Jazz which he specialized in at the Royal Academy. He has also maintained a solid classical clarinet technique having studied with Keith Puddy and Michael Harris.

He continues to play and study East European folk styles and has studied with Tcha Limberger, members of the Klezmatics and Tarif de Haidouks and recorded with Mor Karbasi, Hilda Bronstein and the Shekoyokh ensemble as well as having toured internationally with Oi Va Voi. He has been involved in numerous theater productions and workshops having worked with Birmingham Rep, National Theater, Filter and The Future Cinema and his extensive recording experience includes featuring on several albums as well as having recorded for BBC Radio 3 Jazz Line up Broadcasts and Channel 4 Television. Two of his own ensembles: The Boomtown Swingalings and The Cable Street Band, have recently been invited to perform at the Elgar room at the Royal Albert Hall.
