Certified Avid Pro-Tools training courses

As part of our Digidesign Sponsored School status, we offer the Certified Avid Pro Tools 101, 110, 201 and 210 training courses to our students and to the general public.

Avid Pro Tools is the industry standard in digital audio recording and editing, with a presence in every part of the music and audio industries, from recording to post-production, composition to sound design.

The Pro Tools 101, 110, 201 and 210  courses are industry recognised and are designed to provide an extensive and in-depth understanding of the Avid Pro Tools 12 software.

No prior use of Pro Tools is necessary to enroll onto the Pro Tools 101 course.

Avid Pro Tools 101: Introduction to Pro Tools 12

This covers basic Avid Pro Tools 12 principles, giving you everything you need to complete a Pro Tools project, from initial set up to final mixdown. This course focuses on Pro Tools 12 software and covers a multitude of new functions and feature enhancements. Whether your project involves recording of live instruments, MIDI sequencing of software synthesizers, or audio editing or region looping, this course will give you the basic skills to succeed.

Avid Pro Tools 110: Pro Tools Production I

This provides a more detailed look at the Avid Pro Tools 12 system. This course covers all the key concepts and skills needed to operate a Pro Tools 12 system. The course provides the foundation for the later 200-series Pro Tools Music Production and Post Production courses.

Prerequisites

Basic computer skills, some audio recording knowledge, and basic Pro Tools familiarity. Pro Tools 101: Introduction to Pro Tools 12 is intended as a prerequisite for taking the 110 course. Passing the 101 exam is required before taking the 110 exam.

Avid Pro Tools 110: Pro Tools Production II

This course covers the core concepts and skill you need to operate an Avid Pro Tools HD 12 system in a professional studio environment. The topics in this course expand on the skills learnt in the 100 level and introduce new features. Upon successful completion of the 200 series coursework you will be eligible to take the Avid Pro Tools Operator Certification exam.

Upon successful completion of the 200 series coursework you will be eligible to take the Avid Pro Tools Operator Certification exam.
