About

I am a PhD student in the Physics of Quantum Materials (PQM) group, researching low dimensional frustrated magnetic models. I completed my MPhys at the University of Kent under the supervision of Dr. Bruno Tomasello. During this time, I worked on a project that laid the foundation for my current EPSRC funded PhD research. I am now continuing this work under the joint supervision of Dr. Sam Carr and Dr. Bruno Tomasello. The results of this work culminated in my first paper, which contributes to an active area of research in the study of "critical-like phenomena" in low-dimensional systems.

Research interests

Broadly, my research interests are in the areas of frustrated magnetism and low dimensional systems, with particular interest in both analytical and numerical techniques in statistical mechanics. I am also curious about the realisations of theoretical models in real materials, as well as low-energy excitations, e.g. spin waves and fractionalised excitations.

Supervision

Dr. Sam Carr and Dr. Bruno Tomasello.
