These are advertisedannually and will pay the course fees and a subsistence grant. The valueof these vary between the Research councils but details may be found at the following sites (NB Applications for funding are made via the school and NOT direct to the Research Councils)
- Biotechnology & Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC)
- Medical Research Council (MRC)
- Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)
- Natural Environment Research Council (NERC)
- Wellcome Trust
- Other studentships and sources of financial support, via the School, University or other sources, may be available.
Obviously, all sources of funding are competitive and if prospective students are unsuccessful in obtaining any of the above they may wish to investigate other funding avenues. Additionally, further information and guidance on funding postgraduate education maybe found at:
Details on funding opportunities for International students may be found at http://www.kent.ac.uk/scholarships/postgraduate/international/index.html
We will assist students to obtain this funding providing that all references, research proposals (where required) and supplementary information is provided to the prospective supervisor as soon as possible.
