Discover Becket Court

Becket Court is in a prime location on campus, just a short walk from the heart of the University's Plaza. This modern accommodation combines comfort and convenience, with all rooms being en-suite and available in either standard or large sizes. If you opt for a large room, you’ll also enjoy a 22” TV with Freeview and a fully covered TV licence.

For students with disabilities, we also offer adapted en-suite rooms on the ground floor. For further details, check out our Accessibility page.  

Living at Becket Court comes with the added bonus of the Flex Meal Plan, giving you flexibility with your meals while still providing access to a shared kitchenette – perfect for preparing drinks and snacks with its fridge, kettle, and microwave. Plus, all utility costs (gas, electricity, water, and heating), WiFi, personal possessions insurance, and a premium sports membership are included in your accommodation fee.

And that's not all. Becket Court now comes with two stylish resident lounges for you to relax, connect with friends, or take a break from your day.

Becket Lounge (16)
A cosy space with a sofa and bean bags - perfect for unwinding in comfort over your favourite shows or games. This lounge seats up to 8 people, with a spacious open floor area for larger gatherings.

Becket Lounge (17)
A versatile room with designated tables and seating for up to 16 people. Equipped with 3 power cubes for USB A and C, it's ideal for board game nights, studying, or streaming videos over dinner with friends.

Both lounges come equipped with a TV and whiteboard, making them perfect for work or play.

Becket Court is designed to make student life easier and more enjoyable. It offers all the amenities you need right in the centre of campus.

Becket Court includes the Flex Meal Plan: £15 per day (2026/27) to spend at campus catering outlets during term time, giving you the freedom to explore a variety of menus.

Applying for accommodation

Accommodation is available from September to June for 31 weeks, excluding winter and spring vacations. While you'll vacate your room during vacations, belongings can stay over winter but must be removed over the spring vacation. Payments are made in instalments at the start of each term.

You can apply for accommodation with no deposit, through our online application portal from mid-January to 30 June to secure a guaranteed offer, provided you meet the eligibility criteria. Don’t worry if you miss the initial deadlines - our application portal remains open after 30 June but you won't be guaranteed an offer after this date.

Returning students

Returning student accommodation is also available for undergraduate students in their second year and above. Applications open in January, and returning students will be notified in December when they can begin applying.

Cleaning Services and laundry

Each college has a nearby launderette, and the Cleaning Services team provides a light top-up clean. A more thorough clean can be booked for an additional cost.
