Jane Povey joined the department as a PostDoctoral Researcher in the Smales group in 2005 after a Daphne Jackson Fellowship at Pfizer. She has a Biochemistry degree from Birmingham and a PhD from Cambridge. Following her degree she spent 9 years working for Pharmaceutical companies mainly in the diagnostics industry as an R&D scientist.
