Tracey’s early career started in the creative industries as a 3D designer/maker and eventually led her into teaching within both FE and HE sectors. In 2003, Tracey joined Kent Institute of Art and Design (UCA, Rochester) and co-founded the Study Advisory Service - a hybrid academic support and academic developer role working with academics and students to enhance teaching and learning. Tracey has an MA in Design Thinking (Creative Research and Communication, 2009), won a place at the London Business School - completing MBA modules with a particular focus on employabillity (2009), and has a MEd (Leadership and Management for Effective Education, 2012); these qualifications enabled her to better support learning and teaching strategies and employability agendas. Tracey's doctoral thesis: What is the Role of Academic Support in Contemporary UK Higher Education? (2018), explores the relationship between policy, the perceived purpose of HE, and the role of academic support. In her spare time Tracey dances Argentine tango and trains as a classical singer.
