From his career in higher education, Oliver is experienced in supporting students to achieve their short and long-term academic goals.
Before joining SLAS, Oliver worked in Student Support at the university, assisting students facing a wide range of personal and learning challenges. Prior to this, Oliver worked as an Associate Lecturer in English.
He has completed training in higher education teaching, supporting Autistic people, certification in therapeutic skills, and a range of wider support programmes. He has been an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (now AdvanceHE) since 2019.
Oliver gained his PhD in 2020 and has taught students one-to-one and in groups at all levels of higher education.
