Jane moved to the University of Kent in 2004 from London South Bank University where she taught on a variety of programmes for international students, and was an external examiner for the School of Languages, University of Brighton.
Jane’s background is in language teaching and she has over 25 years’ experience as a lecturer, academic manager and curriculum designer in a wide range of educational environments including FE, private education and corporate training.
Developing an interest in the potential uses of digital technologies in learning, she completed an MA in Media-Assisted Language Teaching, bringing together interests in education, pedagogy, second language acquisition, self-directed learning and technology, before working as an e-learning adviser with JISC.
Jane’s current role involves updating and implementing the University e-learning strategy, and managing the support provided to schools and academics. She also project manages and supports the team in providing advice on a range of curriculum developments such as Lecture Recording, Digital Literacy, MOOCs and Distance and Flexible Learning, Digital Classrooms, Assessment and Feedback, Higher and Degree Apprenticeships, and Curriculum Internationalisation.back to top
