Dr Andrew Russ
Lecturer in Cognitive Psychology (Teaching and Scholarship)
Programme Director for MSc Cognitive Psychology/Neuropsychology
I completed my BSc in Psychology with Clinical Psychology, my MSc in Cognitive Psychology and Neuropsychology, and finally my PhD (Diagnosing Eyewitness Accuracy) at the University of Kent.
My research interests concern face recognition with a particular emphasis on improving eyewitness practices. I am currently investigating methods for assessing the accuracy of an eyewitness after making an identification to a criminal lineup.
I am interested in supervising undergraduate and masters face recognition projects, especially those with a practical application. If you have research ideas of your own I would be happy to discuss them with you. If you don’t have a firm idea, I have a few projects that you may be interested in developing.
