Recep joined the School in September 2016 after being awarded a Vice Chancellor's Research Scholarship to pursue a PhD in International Conflict Analysis. Prior to his PhD, he completed a MSc in Conflict Resolution (2015) and a MSc in Finance (2014) at the University of Essex. His work lies at the intersection between the post-structuralist discourse theory (Laclau and Mouffe, 1985) and conflict analysis theories.
