Kent Law School is committed to delivering an inspiring student experience. This was enhanced in 2016 with the opening of the Wigoder Law Building, home to both Kent Law Clinic and the School’s mooting programme.

Wigoder Law Building

The Wigoder Law Building is an outstanding space in which to work and learn. The ground floor provides accommodation for the Kent Law Clinic, and the upper floor houses a dedicated Moot Court.

Kennedy Wong Moot Court

The Kennedy Wong Moot Court is our dedicated mooting room. It is built in the style of a courtroom with features drawn from the UK Supreme Court. This space allows students to hone their advocacy skills in an ultra-realistic setting.

Mooting is a very useful experience, even for those not interested in a career that involves oral advocacy.

Kent Law Clinic

Our Clinic, staffed by law students working under the guidance of qualified lawyers, gives the local community free access to legal advice and representation. Students may take responsibility for real cases, and sometimes act as advocates for clients in court or at a tribunal.

Ground floor accommodation for the Clinic includes a lobby and seating area for clients, a shared working space, interview rooms and offices. These are all designed to complement the friendly and professional approach taken by staff and students and to ensure the Clinic retains its leading role in clinical legal education.
