Stage 2+ Online Module Registration (OMR)
Register your Modules
Please read the appropriate guidance before completing online module registration.
Online Module Registration - CLOSED
Architecture Students - You do not take part in on-line module registration as your modules are all compulsory. Your modules will be registered automatically for the coming academic year.
Complete your Registration
1. Take the time to read through your Introduction and Subject Requirement information
The information contained within Subject Requirements is correct at the time of publication. Please note, however, that if a module recruits fewer than 8 students it is possible that it will not run. In this event, you will be contacted and asked to select an alternative module. The University cannot guarantee whether all options will be available, or how they will be delivered, if Government Covid restrictions continue.
2. Attend Subject(s) Briefing Sessions (Canterbury Only)
Attend your subject briefing session. Joint Honours students should attend the briefing sessions for both their subjects.
3. Use the Module Planner
Use the module planner to check that your selection adds up to 120 credits, 60 credits per term.
4. Check the Restrictions
Do any restrictions apply to you. It is very important you check as this can affect how you register your modules.
Check here - non standard
5. Read the OMR Instructions
Read through the instructions on how to complete Online Module Registration.
Changed your mind about your module selection?
If you change your mind during OMR then please email firstname.lastname@example.org to amend your selection.
If you change your mind about your selection after Monday 5 April you should contact your School.
Can't remember which modules you picked?
Once you have registered your module preferences you must not log back into the registration screen.
You can check your module preferences via SDS under ‘Details & Study’ and ‘My Modules’.
Your module preferences will appear as ‘unconfirmed’, this is normal practice.
OMR is not first come first served, but you must ensure that you have submitted your selections by the deadline in order to give you the best opportunity to register for your preferred choice of module.
Modules with limited spaces will be allocated fairly and transparently after online module registration closes by a random selection process.
Note if you are going abroad or to a year in industry next year you do not need to select modules.
