I develop advanced signal processing techniques to analyse signals such as from the brain and heart for various health and non-health applications. Often, the techniques fuse machine learning (classical and deep) for improvement in performance.

Research interests

I belong to the following research groups:

My research interests span the following areas:

  • Signal processing (biomedical such as EEG, ECG and other signals)
  • Electrophysiological analysis (for various mental and cardiovascular disorders
  • Brain-computer interface
  • Time-series analysis
  • Biometrics
  • Image processing
  • Machine learning (neural networks, genetic algorithms etc)
  • Road Safety
  • Vagus nerve stimulation

I am involved in modules CO328, CO528, CO555, CO634, CO662.

I would be interested in supervising PhD research projects in any of the above research areas. Please contact me for more information.
