Academic divisions
Work administered by academic divisions and departments is currently in development. See the web page for information about academic division based roles, but please contact your academic division directly to find out about more opportunities and for full details about the work involved.
Employability
Student ambassadors receive recognition for their involvement in the scheme, either through payment, Kent Union volunteering hours or the University's Employability Points Scheme.
Payment
Rates of Pay
The Ambassador Band Structure provides the rates of pay for the roles which can currently be found within the Scheme. However, please note that not all roles are available within all departments, and that other roles may exist which are not included here.
Payment queries
In order to get paid, you will need to submit a claim. For Outreach and Recruitment activities this is usually done by submitting a timesheet via your HEAT ambassador portal. For further details on this please view the FAQs web page.
All ambassadors get paid at the end of the following month in which they have undertaken work. For example, if you work in January, payment would go through at end of February. All University payments go through on the last working day of the month.
