Scholarships
The University of Kent has a range of scholarships available for all potential students to apply. The amount to be offered will be determined by the University Sports Scholarship Committee. Each case will be considered on its own merit. The decision of the Committee is final.
University of Kent
Scholarships of between £250-£5,000 are available for all sportsmen/women from any sport who have preferably competed at county, regional or international level and are committed to University sport.

Alumni
The University of Kent in partnership with the Kent Alumni, offers £1,000 per annum to sportsmen/women in any sport who excel in their field are committed to University Sport.

The University of Kent endeavour to forge partnerships with highly regarded local sports clubs to retain sporting talent in Kent and attract exceptional athletes to the University.
Cricket
The J & K Huntley Scholarship of £2,500 per year is offered in partnership with the Kent County Cricket Club. Applicants must be free and willing to register and play for Kent CCC. If and when called upon to play for a County side, appearances will be rewarded by the payment of match money. The University Sports Department will work with those awarded on a programme of general fitness training in association with their formal cricket training and development. The selection for the Scholarship would be by a joint committee of the County and the University.
Rugby
In partnership with Canterbury Rugby Club and Barretts of Canterbury (Motor Dealers) the University offers two Scholarships. One for 1st Team players and another for the development of Under 18's.
1st Team Players: Award of £2,000 per annum. The criteria are for the recipient to be a first team player at Canterbury Rugby Club and play for the University in the British Universities Sports Association Tournament. The selection for the Scholarship would be by Canterbury Rugby Club.
Under 18s: We will offer a scholarship to anyone from the Canterbury Rugby Academy at Canterbury High Sports College.
Hockey
In partnership with Canterbury Ladies' Hockey Club the University offers a Scholarship of up to £2,000 per annum. Applicants must be of a standard to be able to represent both UKC and Canterbury Ladies' Hockey potential/1st Team. The selection for the Scholarship would be by Canterbury Ladies' Hockey Club.
In partnership with Maidstone Hockey Club the University offers a Scholarship of up to £2000 per annum. Appplicants must be of a standard to be able to represent both UKC and Maidstone Hockey Club potential/1st Team. The selection for the Scholarship would be by Maidstone Hockey Club.
In partnership with Canterbury Mens' Hockey Club the University offers a Scholarship of up to £2,000 per annum. Applicants must be of a standard to be able to represent both UKC and Canterbury Mens' Hockey potential/1st Team. The selection for the Scholarship would be by Canterbury Mens' Hockey Club.
In partnership with Old Bordenian Mens' Hockey Club the University offers a Scholarship of up to £2,000 per annum. Applicants must be of a standard to be able to represent both UKC and Old Bordenian Mens' Hockey potential/1st Team. The selection for the Scholarship would be by Old Bordenian Mens' Hockey Club.
