Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)

Fee waiver at the Home/EU rate, plus a maintenance stipend of £15,009 per year (2019/20 rate)

The University of Kent is pleased to offer 12 fully funded EPSRC studentships starting in September 2019. The studentships cover home tuition fees and an annual maintenance grant (which is £14,777 for 2018/19). EPSRC scholarships are open to Home/EU students who meet UKRI residency guidelines.

  • The University of Kent invites applications for a full-time PhD studentship commencing in September 2019.
  • Open to Home/EU students who meet RCUK residency guidelines.
  • Applicants should have, or expect to obtain, a first or upper second class honours degree in a relevant subject, and ideally a Masters degree or equivalent.

How to apply

When applying, students should follow the University of Kent’s online application process. As part of the process, students should include the following:
- explain reasons for study/outline research proposal;
- provide details/evidence of qualifications;
- provide two academic references;
- provide other personal information and supporting documentation.
