About

Dr Raluca Popp joined the School in 2019 as a Lecturer. She defended her PhD in 2018 at the University of Exeter, UK. Her primary research interests lie in the area of elections, public opinion and political representation, in particular issue congruence and its determinants.

Part of her Industry and Doctoral Training Network (Marie Curie), Raluca developed an interest in Voting Advice Applications and the use of the large-scale datasets generated by these online tools. Her work focuses on substantive issues that can be addressed with the help of VAA, such as studying issue congruence in an EP elections setting.
