Accommodation

The conference venue is at the University of Kent's Medway campus which is located on Central Avenue, Gillingham, Chatham, ME4 4AG. We've identified the closest accommodation but please bear the address in mind if you seek alternative options. 

Premier Inn - Victory Pier, Chatham 

Cost: £52 per night (approx.)

Distance: Approximately 1.8 miles by car or a 21 minute walk. 

Travelodge - Chatham Maritime

Cost: £47.99 per night (approx.)

Distance: Approximately 0.6 miles by car or an 11 minute walk. 

The Ship and Trades 

Cost: £101 per night (approx.) 

Distance: Approximately 0.8 miles by car or an 18 minute walk.

Travel

The Medway campus is easily accessible by motorway, rail, and bus services, and is located under two hours from London airports. 

Train

Chatham and Gillingham train stations are the most accessible stations for the campus and have regular services from Charing Cross, Waterloo East, London Bridge, Cannon Street, London Victoria, London St Pancras International, Ramsgate and Dover. 

Air

For those travelling from further afield, Chatham is approximately a 2 hour journey by train from most of London's major airports. National Express also runs an airport transfer service. 

Car

The Medway campus is easily accessible by roadTo get to the campus, follow the brown anchor signs for the Historic Dockyard and Chatham Maritime via the A289 and the Medway Tunnel. The campus entrance is the first exit at the next roundabout, signposted Pembroke and Universities at Medway. Car parking will be available onsite free of charge.
