Student appeals

Covid-19 - important note for students:

  1. All appeals against recommendations of Boards of Examiners must be submitted within 10 working days of receiving your results.
  2. Supporting evidence need not be provided in relation to any Covid-19 related extenuating circumstances. Where circumstances are unrelated to the disruptive impact of the pandemic, it is understood that evidence may be more difficult to obtain at present and you are not expected to provide it in order for your appeal to be considered.
  3. Please do not send your appeal or any other documentation to us through the post, as Faculties Support Office staff are working remotely.

Please note that if you do not have a Kent login, you will not be able to complete the online form. Therefore, please click here for a downloadable version. After completion, please email to appeals@kent.ac.uk.

You can seek a speedy resolution of some matters directly with the School in the first instance without needing to initiate the formal appeals process. To do so, you should contact the School Office of the Board of Examiners which made the decision that requires investigation and clarification. Such matters include: clarification of recorded marks for which an error is suspected; the detail of how specific applications for mitigation were considered and what outcomes, if any, were applied; a need to supply new documentary evidence (where appropriate); or an application for mitigating circumstances not previously considered by the Board.
