Myoungeun Chin began studying for a PhD in Economics in December 2016. She graduated with a BA in Economics from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea in 2005 and an MSc in Economics from UCL in 2015.
Myoung's research interests lie in the income and wealth inequality and macroeconomic model to explain how it is derived. Borrowing heterogeneous agent DSGE models, she is aiming to focus on the behavioural aspects in addition to the Aiyagari model. She will look into the empirical evidence of income and wealth distribution to support it and would like to link those to the consumption inequality, asset pricing, and/or the effect of financial crisis on the inequality.
