Facilities

You can find The School of Economics in The Sibson Building which provides a light modern environment, for study and research.

Opened in 2017, Sibson's impressive design won the RIBA Regional and National Award. It houses well-equipped lecture and seminar spaces, as well as breakout spaces for group work, dedicated rooms for our MBA and postgraduate research students including the Bloomberg suite, computer labs, and our ASPIRE Lab Space. There is also a café on site.

It was designed with the intention of making it easy for collaboration, for access and the absorption and exchange of new ideas.

There are places to relax, space for informal group study, meeting rooms, several well-equipped IT suites, lecture theatres, designated postgraduate areas and a cafe.  It is also the perfect setting for the friendly community within our School.

We are based only a short walk away from the University’s Templeman Library. It has excellent print and digital resources for Economics students and provides access to the specialist database The Digital Resources Directory devised by our dedicated Liaison Librarian and especially helpful for our UG students as they embark on their first piece of research in Stage 3 and for all Postgraduate students throughout their studies.
