The Kennedy Building is home to the School of Economics and provides state-of-the-art teaching, study and research facilities for students and staff.

Our new building opened its doors to students and staff in September 2019. It provides modern facilities for teaching and research, making it easy for you to access and absorb new ideas. With places to relax, meeting rooms, a well-equipped IT suite and designated postgraduate study spaces, it is also the perfect setting for the friendly community within our School.

The new building is located next to our beautiful campus woodlands and close to Kent Business School and the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science. This allows you to take advantage of our ‘hub of excellence’ across Kent’s financial and business subjects.

We are based only a short walk away from the University’s Templeman Library. It has excellent print and digital resources for Economics students and provides access to the specialist databases of organisations such as the Office for National Statistics, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
