Dr Alex Wright
About
Alex completed his BSc in Forensic Chemistry (2014), and his PhD in chemistry (2018) at the University of Kent. His research interests are in applied polymer science with his PhD thesis title reading ‘Polymer materials for the encapsulation and degradation of chemical warfare agents’.
Alex is the laboratory coordinator for the practical chemistry modules studied both by chemistry and forensic science students. Alex organises and teaches laboratory classes to students from foundation year to third year of study. He coordinates the continuous development of the laboratory courses to ensure students get an applications based and well contextualised experience of modern chemical techniques and working practices.
