Undergraduate Studies

Notre DameA wide range of modules in French language and culture, including options covering literature, linguistics, film and art & architecture are available. It is possible to study French either as a Single Honours (including simultaneously with a Licence in three years) or as a Joint Honours degree in combination with almost any other subject in the Humanities Faculty. Most of the modules are taught in French and we have instant access to French TV and radio thanks to a brand new Multi-Media Lab.

At Kent we have a uiquely wide range of links with French and Swiss universities. During your year abroad as a part of a Socrates programme you could begin to study for a French degree (Licence), or alternatively you can gain work experience by becoming a language assistant in a French School or working in a job related to your interests.

If you are interested in a programme which places the study of French language and culture in the context of European contemporary politics and institutions, please consult the leaflet on European Studies, available from the Undergraduate Admissions Office.
