- Dr Andrew Wickens
Dr Andrew Wickens received a BSc (Hons) Degree in Applied Biochemistry from Brunel University in 1997. He remained at the same institution to conduct a PhD in Molecular Endocrinology, which he was awarded in 2001. Andrew then joined Imperial College to work as a postdoctoral research associate focussing on the molecular neuroscience of chemosensation. Between 2003 and 2015 Andrew worked as a senior scientist and technical advisor within the Civil Service where he also headed a scientific research team.
He joined the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences at the University of Kent in October 2015.
Andrew is part of the school's Athena Swan self assessment team, represents the school on the Technician Commitment working group and is the school's display screen equipment assessor and sustainability champion.
