About

I gained first-class honours in my BSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Science at Northumbria University in 2014. I continued my studies at Northumbria, gaining a distinction in an Exercise Science MRes in 2015. My MRes dissertation investigated the central fatigue response during and after 120 minutes of football-specific exercise.

Research interests

I am currently supervised by Dr Mark Burnley and co-supervised by Dr Sam Winter, and my main research interests are focused on the development, validation and utilisation of EMG signal decomposition in order to study the behaviour of individual motor units during muscular contractions. I am also a graduate teaching assistant, teaching Fitness Training Methods and Introduction to Biomechanics.

Supervision

Supervised by Dr Lex Mauger
