Loans for Canadian students

If you are a Canadian student, you can apply to borrow a loan from the Canada Student Loans Program.

Criteria

If you are a Canadian student, you can apply to borrow a loan from the Canada Student Loans Program.

The Canada Student Loans Program provides repayable loans and non-repayable grants to help Canadian students pay for their post-secondary education.

Federal loans and grants are delivered in partnership with participating provinces and territories and are available to:

  • full- and part-time students;
  • students from low- and middle-income families;
  • students with dependants; and
  • students with permanent disabilities.

How to Apply

For information on applying please see the Canada Student Loans Program website at: https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/programs/canada-student-loans-grants.html  or visit the website of your provincial Student Aid Office.

Your provincial Student Aid Office will process your loans.

How do we support your application?

The University of Kent does not administer Canadian Student Loans. However, we do provide confirmations of enrolment and program information forms to support your loan application.

Confirmation of Enrolment / Registration Forms: Before any student loan monies are disbursed to you, your lender may require the University of Kent to verify your student status to confirm that you have either been accepted on to a programme of study, or are already registered at the University of Kent. This is usually done via a Confirmation of Enrolment or Confirmation of Registration form.
