Politics and International Relations

Summer Schools in Canterbury and Brussels

9 February 2017

The University of Kent is offering Politics Summer School programmes in Canterbury and Brussels.

The Canterbury Summer School focuses on European Security and Foreign Policy. It looks at contemporary security issues facing Europe today and  how European states are adapting to their new role in providing security both within and beyond the European territory. Each day of the Summer School will cover a specific topic related to the EU's role in the world.

The Brussels Summer School is centred on the theme of 'Europe and the World' which builds upon the academic strengths of the Brussels School of International Studies. Within this context various sub-themes will be covered, these include migration, the European Union's (EU) relationship with emerging powers such as China, and the EU's response to the global economic crisis.

The Summer School courses are designed for students or professionals who are either thinking about studying on a postgraduate degree programme in the UK or Brussels or who simply wish to benefit from a short and intensive international study experience.

The credit-bearing Summer Schools will run from Monday 19th June – Friday 30th June. For further details on the programme content, entry requirements, fees and scholarships please visit our website.
