About

Marwa joined the School of Politics and International Relations in 2017 after being awarded a Vice Chancellor's Research Scholarship to pursue her PhD in International Relations. 

She holds an MSc in Political Science from Cairo University, with a special focus on American foreign policy and political Islam. Prior to her PhD study, she worked as an Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Economic and Political Science in Cairo.

Her current research focuses on the study of the transatlantic security community, with a particular focus on NATO's Southern flank.
